F.lux For Windows

F.lux For Windows

Computer screens, tablets, and cell phones emit 24-hour full-spectrum light like the sun. Exposure to blue light at the wrong time of day can keep you awake later and disrupt your sleep quality. f.lux tries to help by removing the blue and green light to help you walk down in the evening.

It may take a few days to get used to the new colors at night, so we recommend that you arrange the colors at night in f.lux that is pleasing to your eyes. After a few days with f.lux, experiment with the settings to warm things up a bit and find out which color works best for you. The default 3400K setting on our Windows removes about 3/4 of the blue and half of the green light. You can remove even more warning light by selecting "Increase color range" to unlock darker colors in Windows (in the "Night Lighting" menu).

Thank you for trying f.lux! We are always working to incorporate the latest research into our software. We would love to hear what you have to say.

If you've used f.lux before, this version now has these changes:

By increasing the color temperature settings, up to 2700K, and some presets lower, below 1200K.
